Introduction

This is the capstone of the rubric engineering sequence. You'll build complete rubrics for realistic evaluation scenarios, demonstrating mastery of all five core properties across diverse task types.

Knowing each skill in isolation is not the same as using them together under real conditions. A single real task asks you to judge atomicity, instance-specificity, self-containment, objectivity, and modality fit all at once, often with incomplete instructions and genuine ambiguity. This module is where those separate skills become one fluent process. The scenarios mirror the kind of work this field involves, so the aim is not just a passing score but the confidence to approach an unfamiliar task and produce a clear, defensible rubric the first time. Treat each scenario as a rehearsal for the judgment calls real evaluation work requires.
